Field Trip Compact

Thank you for your Support! Field trips provide a valuable educational experience for our students and wouldn’t be possible without the help of our volunteers. Thank you so much for giving your time and support to these educational activities. It is also a way to show your child that you are interested in what they do at school. The following guidelines have been developed to ensure the safety and security of all children and an optimal learning experience. Guidelines for Chaperones

1)All school rules apply on school field tripsIf there is a problem or difficulty with a student, let the teacher know

2) Chaperones are expected to follow the planned timeline and itinerary developed by the teacher and work cooperatively with the other volunteersBe in the right place at the right time

3) Chaperones are expected to model appropriate behavior for studentsUse appropriate language. Avoid suggestive language or discussions that are not child appropriate. Dress appropriately and comfortably.

4) In order to comply with school policy, before and during field trips, chaperones may not use or possess alcohol or other drugs, may not use tobacco in the presence of or within the sight of students, and may not administer any medications to students.

5) Students must be supervised at all times. Students are required to remain with you. Be mindful of safety concerns and respond to students’ needs. Do not use your cell phone for non–emergency or non–trip related purposes. Report all accidents or problems to the teacher immediately.
